Seward County Fire Extinguish Grass Fire

On Thursday at 4:31 pm Seward County Fire Department was dispatched to Road 21 East of Road J for a vegetation fire. Units arrived on scene to find 3 acres burning at a moderately pace. The department responded with 3 water tenders, 2 engines, 2 attack trucks, 2 chief officers, and 10 firefighters. No injuries were reported, cause was lightning. Units completed the incident at 6 acres. Fire was completely out by 8:00pm.
