Seward County Fire Extinguish Grass Fire

At 9:51 pm Seward County Fire Department was dispatched to Road 6 and Road G for a vegetation fire. Units arrived on scene to find approximately 2 acres with a moderate rate of spread burning along side Road G. No injuries were reported, the fire department responded with 2 chief officers, 2 engines, 2 tankers, two attack trucks, and 8 firefighters. Firefighters were assisted by local farmers with tractor & disc and a spray rig. Evidence of recently discharged fire works were found along side of the road.
