Seward County Fire Dispatched to Vegetation Fire

Seward County Fire Department was dispatched to Highway 54, West of Road P for two vegetation fires along the highway in the North ditch. Units arrived on scene to find bystanders assisting with fire control. Both fires were extinguished at less than 1 acre. The Department responded with 1 Chief Officer, 2 Attack units, 1 Engine, 2 Water Tenders, and 8 personnel. No injuries were reported and the cause is undetermined and is under investigation.
