Seward County Fire Department Responds To Rollover Accident, Extinguish Tractor Fire

On Saturday August the 18that 11:54pm, the Seward County Fire Department responded to an injury accident at S. Kansas Avenue and Road J. an individual was transported to Southwest Medical Center with injuries. The SCFD received mutual aid from the Liberal Fire Department.

On Sunday August 19th, the Seward County Fire Department responded to a call that came in at 11:47am. Firefighters were dispatched 1/2 mile west of Road C on Road 5 and then another 1/2 mile south. Upon arrival firefighters found a tractor and 3 acres fully involved in flames. SCFD responded with 4 Brush Trucks, 2 Pumper/Rescue trucks, 2 Command vehicles and 11 firefighters. The fire was extinguished quickly and the SCFD was back in service by 2:21pm
