Seward County Commissioners Meet

The Seward County Board Of County Commissioners met last night at 6:30pm at the Administration Building for their regularly scheduled meeting. At last nights meeting, commissioners, approved John Ralston, EMS Director, to proceed to pursue a contract for services, approved Seward County to let bids to the local newspapers to become the official newspaper of Seward County and appointed Jack Taylor to the Southwest Guidance Center board. The commission also accepted the bid from Foss Ford in Liberal for the purchase of two vehicles in the amount of $46,800.00, and approved crack sealing for the Activity Center parking lot, while B & H Paving is in the county doing road projects. Seward County Commissioners set the dates for budget work sessions for July 8th and 9th, and scheduled a joint meeting with the Southwest Medical Center Board for June 16th, to discuss a building project. The next meeting of the Board of County Commissioners will be June 1st. County Commissioners are set to meet with Liberal City Commissioners this Thursday evening at 6:00pm at the Rock Island Depot. As always these meetings are open to the public.
