Joe Denoyer - September 3, 2024 8:30 pm

The Seward County Commission met on Monday evening at 5:30 pm. After explaining what the Revenue Neutral Rate was, the Commission opened a Public Hearing on the subject. After the Public Hearing closed, the Board of County Commissioners opted to postpone the adoption of the 2025 budget as a special work session is scheduled for Wednesday at noon to look for further cuts in the budget. The Proposed Budget for 2025 shows Expenditures of $42,038,997 and an Amount of 2025 Ad Valorem Tax of $13,703,648.

Commissioners also tabled the 2025 rate increase for the Seward County Landfill.
