Seward County Commission Meets, Accepts Generous Donation From National Beef

The Seward County Commission met on Monday evening and approved the Year end Account receivables write-offs.

Commissioners also approved taking the loss value of a truck that was hit by a train use the funds in the 2020CIP for a truck and purchase one already built and ready to go.

The Commission also approved the contract with J&R Sand for the milling and overlay project on Road 3(2nd Street Road) in the amount of $987,530.05.

National Beef was before the County Commission with a donation of $80,000.00. The money is to be distributed as follows:

$10,000 for Seward County Sheriff’s Office

$20,000 for Seward County Health Department

$50,000 Seward County Emergency Response Team.

The Commission apreciatively accepted the generous donation.

Commissioners approved To allow Emergency Management to relocate to the Seward County Courthouse and set up an office and EOC Center in the vacant space that is move in ready inside the Courthouse

Commissioners also approved the funding shortfall of $23,000.00 for Cimarron Basin Community Corrections .
