Seward County Commission Meets

The Seward County Board of County Commissioners met Monday evening at 5:30pm at the Seward County Administration Building. Among the items on the agenda were updates from the Historical Society, Emergency Management, and on the Administrator search. So far the Seward County Commissioners have received three applications with the deadline set for noon on Friday, June 24th. The commission approved the paving project for the Seward County Landfill with B & H Paving of Scott City getting the job. Commissioners approved two contracts with KDHE for the Health Department for Child Care Licensing and HIV CTR. Seward County Commissioners also discussed Racetrack costs for the fair and will get with Promoter Joe Hibbert to further discuss the matter. At the Commissions direction, staff will remove lean tubing and sheetrock from the Rock House on the Fairgrounds, and further look at the feasibility at repairing and saving the building. The next regular meeting of the Seward County Commission was moved to Tuesday, July 5th due to the 4th of July Holiday.
