Seward County Commission Approves County Road Sealing Project

The Seward County Commission met on Monday evening and with only one bid received, approved B&H Paving of Scott City to complete the 2021 Road Sealing project. Amount of the bid is $303,458.60.

Vaccine Coordinator, Alexa Varnes, provided the Commissioners with an update on vaccinations and the Commissioners approved temporary partime staffing needs after visiting with the County Administrator, Health Department Director, and Vaccine Coordinator through September 24th.

The Commission also voted to approve the initial payment of $53,959.58 to AK Roofing as an initial draw to cover materials for the Courthouse Roofing Project.

The Commissioners approved the authority to the County Administrator to request funds through the Treasury Portal.  And to put out a Request for Proposal to hire a consultant to assist with the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds as they did with the CRF funding.
