Seward Blows Away Dodge

KSCB News - April 2, 2010 12:00 am

On a day when the wind was gusting in from right field at about 50 miles per hour, Seward’s pitchers got some help from mother nature when they really didn’t need it. Dodge City (5-15) mustered only one hit per game in Seward’s two wins 5-0 and 8-0 at Lady Saints Field Thursday. In game one, Erin Roufosse pitched the one hitter. Brianna Baron, Brittany Kent, and Marisa Coats had three hits a piece. Kesea Blackstock drove home three runs. In game two, Brittany Kent’s first inning bases loaded triple paved the way for a five run first. Sydney Cicchetti tossed a one hitter. Kent, Alicia Reyes, and Leah Sitter had two hits a piece. Kent drove home three. Seward is 30-7 and travels to Garden City Wednesday.
