Seward Ace Picks Salukis

Seward ace Camron Maldonado will return to the Missouri Valley Conference after signing with Southern Illinois. The 6’3″ right hander from Canon City, Colorado pitched for Wichita State his freshman year before leading the Seward staff. Maldonado was 8-4 with a 3.64 ERA. He had 55 strikeouts and 18 walks for the Jayhawk West champion Saints. Maldonado was 1-1 with a 5.60 ERA in 17 and one third innings for Wichita State in 2009. Maldonado will pitch for the Liberal Bee Jays this summer.
