School Bus Crashes Near Elkhart

A bus crash injured the bus driver Friday afternoon north of Elkhart.  The Kansas Highway Patrol reports 80 year old Carlysle A Brickey of Elkhart was driving a school bus south on Morton County Road 9 when the bus dropped off the right edge of the road glancing off a post at the north end of the bridge striking the bridge.  The bus then veered off the bridge toward the center of the road then veered to the right turning sideways, tipping, and rolling.  Brickey was injured and taken to Morton County Hospital.  This occurred Friday afternoon at about 4:30 20 miles north of Elkhart.
