SCCC to Present Winter Concert

Joe Denoyer - December 4, 2019 10:50 am

The Showcase Theater at Seward County Community College will resound with the music of the holiday season at 7 p.m. Dec. 6. The annual holiday concert features the SCCC band and choir in a program featuring old favorites and fresh new music.

Division chair and band director Darin Workman has noted that he looks forward to the concert each year as an opportunity to challenge his instrumental musicians with music that goes beyond the seasonal traditions. Vocal instructor Magda Silva has prepared the choir to do the same.

“Music has the power to connect people, especially at this time of year,” Silva said, “and we really have a lot of fun preparing the music and working together.”

Admission to the concert is $3 per person, with all proceeds going to support music scholarships.
