SCCC Celebrates National Ice Cream Month

Joe Denoyer - July 12, 2021 12:09 am

LIBERAL, Kan. – Looking to beat the heat? Seward County Community College wants to help. The college will be giving away free ice cream on Wednesdays in July to celebrate National Ice Cream Month.

SCCC will be handing out ice cream, on a first-come, first-serve basis, at various locations, beginning with Liberal Memorial Library on July 14 at noon.

The other locations will be at the Liberal Recreation Center on July 21 at noon and Brent Gould Field on July 28 at 7 pm, for the final Bee Jays home game of the season.

In 1984, President Ronald Reagan designated July as National Ice Cream Month and the third Sunday of the month as National Ice Cream Day.
