Saints Settle for Third

Butler out-rebounded Seward 47-20 in a 77-62 win over the Saints Saturday night at the Power Plant in El Dorado. The Grizzlies take second place in the Jayhawk West at 11-5. The Saints finish third in the west at 9-7 and 22-8 overall. The Saints hit just 38 percent of their shots in the loss although Tony Smith scored 18 in the loss. The was the first Jayhawk West contest which the Saints didn’t lead in the second half. The Saints host 10-20 Kansas City Tuesday night at 8 pm on B107.5 and kscb.net. Seward won the region in 1985, 1995, 1998, and 2008.
