Redskins Open Titan Classic with Win

One year after losing their first game at the Wichita South Titan Classic the young LHS soccer team opened the tournament with a 3-1 win over the Wichita Northwest Grizzlies Monday 3-1. Liberal’s Eduardo Moreno led the way with a goal and two assists. Moreno scored Liberal’s lone first half goal. The scored was tied at intermission. Alvin Portillo found the back of the net the Liberal’s second goal and Socorro Martinez put the game out of reach with the third goal. The Redskins are 2-0 and play Wichita Southeast Thursday at 5:30 at Wichita South’s Titan Classic.
