The Liberal Rattlers played at home at the National Beef Sports Complex on Tuesday night.  The Rattlers swept Cimarron 1-0 and 6-4 in a pair of tight games.

In game one, the Rattlers won despite only two hits by Blayden Betts and Aiden Seymour.  Manny Mendoza drove home Taylan Hill for the only Rattler run.  Hayden Pendergraft worked three scoreless innings before Bren Kappelmann went four shutout innings.  Cimarron out-hit the Rattlers 6-2.  Cimarron had three errors and the Rattlers did not commit an error.

In game two, both team’s bats perked up.  Cimarron scored two in the first and Liberal scored four.  Cimarron plated a second inning run to make it 4-3.  The Rattlers plated two fourth inning runs for a 6-3 lead.  Cimarron scored one in the sixth.  Manny Mendoza was 2-3 with two RBI’s, two runs, and a double.  Hayden Pendergraft was 2-2.  Bentlee Betts drove home two runs.  Taylan Hill pitched two innings allowing one earned run.  Bentlee Betts went 2 and 1/3 scoreless.  Andrew Wessels went 1 and 2/3 allowing one earned run.  Manny Mendoza closed it out with a scoreless seventh.  Liberal out-hit Cimarron 8-5.  The Rattlers had four errors and Cimarron had three.

The Rattlers are 5-11 and play at Lawton Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
