Ralston Represents Redskins at State

Tension was high for Kansas golfers throughout the state Monday for six state golf tournaments. Liberal junior Zane Ralston shot a 96 for 74th place at Winfield. Nick Von Lintel of Hays won with a 73 while Kapaun won the team title. Ulysses placed 10th with a 361 at the 4A tournament in Hesston. Hugoton’s Zach Dunlap was 29th with an 86. Anthony Delcorral and Alex Gustafson of Ulysses both carded 88’s for 37th. Brady Buxman of Ulysses shot a 90 for 49th. Jacob Mendoza of Ulysses shot a 95 for 73rd place. Southwestern Heights placed eighth with a 377 at the 3A meet in Hays. Wes Winfrey shot an 85 for 14th. Taylor Collins carded a 95 while Ethan Davis shot a 96, Austin Eakes added a 101, Jason Eakes a 110, and Lane Sherer a 112. Collegiate won state with a 322. In 2A at Pittsburg, Meade’s Adrian Pfannenstiel shot a 90 for 37th. Elkhart’s Logan Smith carded a 100 for 67th. Sublette’s Angel Martinez also got into the clubhouse with a 100.
