Online Chess this Weekend

Play in a Chess Tournament with local players from the comfort and safety of your home! There will be two online tournaments for Southwest Kansas this Saturday, April 11th. The website is called lichess.org and it is free to join.

The online “Arenas” are named Seward County Fast Five and Seward County Chess. Fast Five are 5 minute games and Seward County Chess are ten minute games. The action starts in Fast Five at 1:00 PM and Seward County Chess at 2:15 PM. These tourneys are open tournaments intended for players in this area to enjoy the game but others may also join at this time. Tournaments are on time limits of 60 and 90 minutes and are basically round robins.Sign Up for tourney opens at 1 hour before tournament start time.
