National Weather Service Extends Excessive Heat Warning

The National Weather Service has extended an excessive heat warning for mcuh of Kansas. The weather service cautions the dangerously hot weather will continue through next week, extending the warning to 7 p.m. Friday.

Dangerous heat will persist through the week. Overnight lows will remain warm as well with readings only cooling to the upper 70s and lower 80s.

Excessive heat warnings are issued when an excessive heat event poses threat to life or property.
