Mutual Aid Fire Call Extinguished Quickly

A mutual aid fire call was dispatched Friday afternoon around 2:00. The fire was a grass/vegetation fire east of Tyrone at us 54 and mile marker 56 close to the state line. Responding units from Tyrone, Hooker, Baker, and Seward County had the fire under control in less than an hour. The fire appeared to be started by a spark. Approximately 2 acres were burned.
