Midland Sweeps Saints Baseball

The Seward County baseball team went 0-4 on their road trip to west Texas.  After a pair of losses at Odessa on Friday, the Saints dropped a pair to the Midland Chaparrals Saturday afternoon 15-3 and 8-0.

In game one, Midland scored four in the first, one in the second, and nine in the fourth.  Ranse Radtke had two hits in the loss.

In game two, the Saints mustered three hits.  Midland scored three in the first, two in the third, two in the sixth, and one in the seventh.  Tristan Curless pitched 4 1/3 innings allowing five runs but only one run was earned.

Midland is 8-3.  Seward falls to 2-10 and hosts Vernon for a double header Friday and single game on Saturday.  Those games are subject to change due to a cold weather forecast for Friday.
