Liberal Police Make Drug Arrest

On March 18th at approximately 3:11 PM a Liberal Police Department K-9 unit conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of East Pancake on a Chevrolet Pickup with two occupants.  During the stop, it was learned that the vehicle was involved in illegal narcotic trafficking.  During the search of the vehicle officers located approximately 900 high grade THC cartridges, raw marijuana, opiates, and paraphernalia.  The driver who was transporting the items from California to Kansas was placed under arrest for distribution of Marijuana, distribution of paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, and no tax stamp and lodged in Seward County Jail.  Affidavit filed through Seward County Attorney’s Office.  Investigation is ongoing.
