Liberal Police Investigate Weekend Shooting

On Sunday, May 11, 2014 at about 12:16 a.m., officers responded to the 400 block of South Roosevelt Avenue for a report of multiple gun shots.

Responding officers found a 28 year old female who was injured as a result of the shooting. She was taken to Southwest Medical Center by a private vehicle with minor injuries. She has since been treated and released. There were also several parked vehicles that were damaged by gun fire.

Witnesses described several subjects approached a gathering of people at a residence and began shooting. Investigators have not yet determined a motive for the shooting and no suspects have been identified yet. The investigation of this incident is ongoing.
