Liberal Police Investigate an Attempted Murder

Liberal police are investigating a Saturday morning shooting. On Saturday at about 2:55 a.m. Liberal police officers responded to a residence in the 400 block of South Roosevelt Avenue regarding a report of gun shots. Responding officers found evidence of several gun shots. Minutes later, officers were notified that a victim suffering from bullet wounds was at the hospital. The 20 year old male victim was transported to Southwest Medical Center by a citizen. The man’s condition was stable.

The investigation of this incident is ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.

Any person with information regarding this incident is encouraged ot call the Liberal Police Department at 626-0150 or the Crime Hotline at 624-4000. Anyone providing information that leads to the arrest of those responsible could be eligible for a reward.
