Liberal Police Department Work Injury Accident

On Friday, October 15th, at approximately 9:27 pm, Liberal Police Officers responded to Tucker Road and Kansas Avenue in reference to a report of an injury accident.

Upon arrival, officers spoke to the driver of a 2003 Chevy Tahoe who stated he was attempting to turn west onto Tucker Road from Kansas Ave. when a 2018 Ford Expedition struck the rear of his vehicle. Officers spoke to the driver of the Expedition who stated she was heading south on Kansas Ave. and a Chevrolet Tahoe turned in front of her when she had th green light, causing her to strike the Tahoe.

The Tahoe’s back seat passenger, a minor, was transported to Southwest Medical Center with a small cut on the right side of his head.

Both vehicles were towed away due to damage. Damage was estimated at over $1,000.00.

A Notice to Appear was issued to the driver of the Tahoe for failure to yield and no Diver’s License.
