Liberal Man Dies in a Semi Truck Accident

A fatality accident occurred On Monday, March 13th, at approximately 1:45pm on US-270, approximately 2.6 miles northwest of Oakwood, OK in Dewey County.

A 2016 International Semi driven by Kordan D. Sandridge, age 29 of Lewisville, Texas, was travelling north bound on US-270, while a 1999 Peterbilt Semi driven by Martin Rodriguez-Rojo, age 39 of Liberal, Kansas. was traveling south bound on US-270.

The Sandridge semi went left of the center for an unknown reason, striking the Peterbilt head on. The Peterbilt then overturned and departed the roadway to the right.

A 2012 Ford Econoline driven by Zhan Lin, age 50 of Mooreland, OK. left the roadway to avoid both semis. The drivers of Semis were pinned for approximately 3 hours before being freed by Seiling Fire Department using the Hurst Tool.

Sandridge was pronounced dead at the scene by Oklahoma Medical Examiner Kathy Valentine and taken to Redinger Funeral Home in Seiling, OK.

A passenger in his truck, Lexxionne S. Dedner, age 21 of Lewisville, Texas, was transported by Air Evac to Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma, City, Oklahoma, where she was admitted in critical condition with trunk external injuries.

Rodriguez-Rojo, was pronounced dead at the scene by Oklahoma Medical Examiner Kathy Valentine, and was taken to Redinger Funeral Home in Seiling, OK.

Zhan Lin, and a passenger in his vehicle, Hung C. Hsien, age 36 of Mooreland, Ok, were not injured.
