LHS Tennis Opens at Great Bend

The Liberal Redskins battled high winds and more experienced opponents but fell short of their goal. Team honors went to Sterling with 45 points, 2nd Place to Garden City with 37 points, and 3rd place Great Bend with 36 points. Liberal finished with 21 team points.

Individual Results:

#1 Singles–Buddy Buchanan went 3-3 on the day in his first varsity singles event.

#2 Singles–Carlos Hernandez went 2-4 on the day

#1 Doubles–Mitchell Irby/Payton Grant left two matches on the table but did finish 2-4

#2 Doubles–Sergio Borjas/Fernando Hernandez went 1-5 on the day but competed hard in each match losing 2 matches in a tie breaker
