LHS Speech and Drama Take 2nd Place in Garden City

Thursday evening, the Speech & Drama team at LHS took 2nd place over all at Garden City’s invitational. They also qualified more students for state. Including:
Carlos Roman took 2nd in Informative and 1st in Extemp
Adolfo Almarez placed 1st in Impromptu
Ivanna Estrada took 2nd in Prose
Chance Martin got 3rd in Prose (a state qualification with so many in the event)
Samantha Herrera and Leif Volden placed 2nd in duet

LHS Speech and Drama also had one other student that broke into finals, Mason Bickerstaff got 6th in Prose
