LHS Hosts Winter Homecoming Friday Night

Liberal High School will crown their winter homecoming queen tonight in the gymnasium. The crowning ceremony takes place during halftime of the boys game which will begin at about 7:45 Friday night. The queen candidates are Nakita Martinez, Kayla Varnes, and Lorie Rine. The class attendants are freshman Gabby Galan, sophomore Morgan Eichman, and junior Erica Fowler. The theme is “Operation Code Pink” based on the “Think Pink” slogan for breast cancer awareness. The Redskin boys and girls teams will wear pink tonight and there will be donation boxes and collections to support breast cancer awareness.
