Lady Saints Offense Continues Surge

KSCB News - February 11, 2010 12:00 am

Apparently the Lady Saints weren’t happy to fall six spots in the NJCAA poll after two blowout wins last week. Seward jumped on Pratt (3-22, 2-9) leading 18-2 early on in route to a 99-69 win in the Green House Wednesday night. Rachel Barnes matched the sixth best scoring game in Lady Saint history with 34 points and seven rebounds. Morgan Skomal added 15 points. Nadia Rosario added 11 points and six rebounds while Megan Lassley scored 10. Seward is 24-2 overall and 11-1 in the Jayhawk West. Seward head coach Toby Wynn says his team continues to excel offensively. “We’ve played well offensively minus the Hutch game for the last six or seven games,” Wynn said after his team made 47 percent of their shots. “We’ve been able to get better opportunities. The kids are more confident. We’re getting more production off the bench. More people are scoring when they have the opportunity to do that.” A Jayhawk West title will be on the line Saturday night when Seward plays at Cloud at 6 PM on B107.5 and kscbnews.net. The Lady Saints will be featured during the Green Line Thursday night at 6 PM on Talkradio 1270 and kscbnews.net.
