Jackson Leads Graduating Class Sunday

KSCB News - May 21, 2010 12:00 am

Caps and gowns will be in abundance this weekend in Liberal as the graduates of LHS prepare to receive their diplomas. LHS Valedictorian Emily Jackson says the class of 2010 stays tight. “We’re pretty ornery but I think what makes us unique is through the years we’ve all remained friends and we’ve tried not to let other conflicts come in between us.”

Graduation is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday in the gymnasium. The awards assembly is Friday morning at 9 a.m. right after this morning’s 8 a.m. graduation practice. Jackson says her message Sunday is about being real.

“Just stay true to who you are and who you want to be and stay true to your morals.”

Lydia Young is Liberal’s Salutatorian.
