Injury Accident in Seward County Injures a Satanta Man

An injury accident occurred Wednesday morning at approximately 7:36am,  10.5 miles west of US Highway 83 on Seward County Road 20. A 2002 Chevy Silverado being driven by Trenton Kennedy, 19, of Satanta was eastbound on Road 20 when the pick up drifted into the south ditch. The driver over corrected and the Silverado crossed the centerline and entered the north ditch before overturning. The vehicle came to final rest on its passenger side in a field north of the road.

Kennedy was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita to be treated for serious injuries. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol report, he was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident
