Hugoton Man Loses Life in Fiery Crash

A Hugoton man lost his life after his car veered off the road late Monday night in Seward County. Forty-nine year old Russell Dill of Hugoton passed away after the crash which occurred shortly before midnight. Dill was traveling north on Highway 83 when the 2006 Utility Vehicle he was driving veered off the right shoulder of the road and entered the ditch. The vehicle then struck a driveway where it vaulted into the air and rolled several times and caught on fire. The crash occurred at milepost 17.4 which is almost five miles north of the U83/U51 junction.
