Hugoton Man Arrested on Multiple Charges

On August 22nd, the Hugoton Police department, the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, and a K-9 Unit from the Liberal Police Department executed a search warrant in the 100 block of West 6th Street in Hugoton and made an arrest.
At approximateley 2:00pm, a search warrant was served at 110 W. 6th Street in Hugoton. During the search, cash and drug related items were seized. Arturo Hernandez, 24 of Hugoton was arrested on charges of possession of controlled substances, possession of paraphernalia, interference with law enforcement, criminal threat, and aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer. He was taken to the Stevens County Jail where he is being held on a $15,000.00 bond. An affidavit was forwarded to the Stevens County Attorney for formal charges.
