High Speed Chase Ends in Man Being Arrested

On Saturday, November 25th at approximately 10:00pm, officers of the Boise City Oklahoma Police Department located and attempted to stop a vehicle that was traveling at a high rate of speed. The driver refused to stop, and a high speed chase ensued on Highway 56. The chase continued into Hugoton, where again the driver evaded officers. The pursuit continued on Highway 51 where the Kansas Highway Patrol joined in. The vehicle finally came to a stop, 14 miles East of Hugoton. The driver refuse to exit the vehicle. Officers approached the vehicle, and and the driver was taken into custody without incident. He is currently in the Stevens County jail awaiting extradition back to Oklahoma
