Head On Crash Injures A Ulysses Man

A head on, two vehicle crash has injured a Ulysses man.  The accident occurred Saturday night at approximately 10:10pm, 3 miles north of Liberal on Highway 83. A  2006 Mazda being driven by Piere Cabrera-Aguiriano, 23, of Ulysses, was south bound on Highway 83 when he went left of center and clipped the front end of a northbound 2007 Peterbilt semi being driven by Rodolfo Vargas, 62, of LaJunta Colorado,  head on. The Mazda came to rest on the south bound shoulder, while the Semi came to rest on the south bound shoulder in the drive lane. Piere Cabrera Aguirriano was airlifted to Wesley Medical center in Wichita. Vargas was not injured.
