Guymon Physician Joins SWMC Team

Southwest Medical Center and Dr. R. Kelly McMurry are proud to announce Dr. McMurry and his team have partnered to become a clinic of Southwest Medical Center this month. This partnership will continue to build upon the delivery of quality health care to families living in the Oklahoma Panhandle. “I am proud to continue to serve my patients and the community of Guymon. This is my home and I am pleased to be in a partnership to help expand the health resources available for my patients and their families close to home,” said Dr. McMurry.

Dr. McMurry has been in practice in the Guymon community for more than 40 years. He graduated from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 1974 and specializes in Family Medicine. He has a wide range of clinical interests and places a special emphasis on getting to know patients personally, following their complete medical history, meeting their family, and understanding the many factors that have an impact on their health. For many years, Dr. McMurry has provided health services to generations of families in the Panhandle region.

In collaboration with SWMC, the McMurry Family Care Center seeks to recruit additional primary care providers to expand access to care. In addition, the care center location will provide space for specialty providers to see patients on a consistent basis. Specialty outreach physicians will be able to see patients locally, which enhances the services available and reduces the distance traveled to receive care. “Our mission is to provide high-quality care to the communities we serve, and we are fortunate to collaborate with Dr. McMurry to serve patients through primary care and specialty services available closer to home in the Oklahoma Panhandle,” said Bill Ermann, SWMC CEO.

The McMurry Family Care Center in Guymon is a primary care practice providing patients high quality and personalized health care. Current and new patients of all ages can request appointments with Dr. McMurry. The McMurry Family Care Center accepts new patients and most major insurances, including Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Medicare, and Oklahoma Medicaid.
