Granger Fires No Hitter at Goodland

KSCB News - April 24, 2009 12:00 am

Liberal head coach Eric Olmstead says he didn’t even realize until the sixth or seventh inning that starting pitcher Brandon Granger hadn’t allowed a hit. Granger didn’t allow a hit in Liberal’s 11-0 game one win at Goodland. After Austin Pitts and Tyson Deaton tossed one hitter on Monday at Hugoton, strong pitching against teams has become common place for LHS. In game one, Jose Pondo went 5-5 with three RBI’s. Kyle Potts went 3-4. Austin Pitts blasted a homer. In the game two 14-1 win, Chris Flowers pitched three strong innings. Pondo went 3-5 with three RBI’s. Liberal is 8-3 overall and hosts Guymon Monday at 4:30.
