A Garden City man has been arrested after his sister was found stabbed to death in their home.

Finney County Attorney John Wheeler tells KBUF radio that

52-year-old Luis Montoya apparently stabbed his sister, 55-year-old

Maria Montoya, to death.

Garden City police say they found the victim dead after being

called to the home Monday night.

Police say in a news release that the brother and sister had

several arguments throughout the day over responsibilities in the

home. They allege that during the last argument, Luis Montoya

grabbed a knife and stabbed his sister.

Montoya is being held in the Finney County Jail pending formal

charges.
