Friday Morning Structure Fire in Seward County

On Friday March 12th, at 8:49am Seward County Fire Department was dispatched to a commercial structure fire in 11000 block of Road 5 in Seward County. Units arrived on scene to find an approximately 1200 square foot metal shop fully involved. Firefighters accessed the front of building and started an initial knock down of the fire. Firefighters than made a complete knock down of fire from the rear of the structure. The cause is under investigation and damage values were not available at press time. The department responded with 2 engines, 1 attack, 3 water tenders, 2 chief officers, 1 fire prevention officer, and 8 Firefighters. No injuries were reported and the department was assisted by Seward County Sheriff’s Office and Seward County EMS.
