Firefighters Respond To Fire In The Oilfield

KSCB News - January 27, 2014 8:32 am

Texas County first responders responded to a fire involving two small storage battery tanks belonging to Armor Petroleum. It’s located about 7 miles west of 4 corners and 7 miles south on the Texas-Cimarron County line.

The Texas County Sheriff’s Department said the fire was called in around 2:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon. Officials said there’s no fuel going into the tanks so firefighters let the fire burn itself out. There was been no explosion. First responders remained on the scene to make sure nothing around the tanks caught fire. No one has been hurt.
