Fatality Accident Claims the Life of a Turpin Woman

A fatality accident occurred Wednesday morning at 11:50am on US Highway 83 and Hollow E0030 County Road, approximately 7 miles North of Turpin, Oklahoma in Beaver County.
A 2005 Ford F250 driven by Jose Lopez, 57,of Forgan and a 2007 Nissan Quest driven by Courtney Allen, 29, of Turpin, were both traveling north on US-83. The Ford pick up came to a stop to turn left onto Hollow E0030 County Road when the Nissan struck the pick up from behind.
Allen was transported from the scene by Seward County EMS and was taken to Southwest Medical Center in Liberal. She was pronounced dead at the hospital by medical personnel.
Lopez and a passenger in his vehicle, Maribel Lopez, 41, of Turpin, OK we’re not injured. Seatbelts were in use in both vehicles.
