Ellsworth Man Reels In Record Fish

KSCB News - May 20, 2010 12:00 am

A state record that’s stood for 22 years could be in jeopardy after an Ellsworth man reeled in a whopper.

Paul Bahr caught a striped bass using a five inch shad last week at Wilson Reservoir in Russell County. The giant striper weighed 44 pounds on a certified scale. The current striped bass state record is 43.5 pounds, also caught at the Wilson Reservoir.
