Ellis Squeaks By Headrick In Texas County Race

Texhoma�??s M. Renee Ellis squeaked past Guymon�??s Charity Headrick in the race for County District Court Clerk on Tuesday.
Ellis picked up 51.7 percent of the vote in a 605-565 win over the 24 year-old Headrick, who was hoping to be the fourth generation of her family to hold public office in Texas County. The results are unofficial until certified by the election board.
Ellis will be sworn in on Jan. 2, 2013. She�??s been a deputy court clerk for 12-1/2 years.
