Convenience Store Robbery in Ulysses

On August 18, at approximately 11:20 p.m. Officers were summoned to a reported robbery at the U-Pump It Convenience Store at 529 N. Colorado in Ulysses.

Preliminary information indicates that a subject entered the store with a weapon and demanded money. During the incident a gunshot was fired, however no one was injured. The suspect’s identity was concealed by clothing. The suspect left the store on foot.

Three subjects have been taken into custody in connection with this incident. The names of these subjects will be released pending the filing of formal charges.

The incident is being investigated by the Ulysses Police Department, with the assistance of the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.
