Come Fly Away With Me at the Chamber Bash

The Liberal Chamber of Commerce held their annual Chamber Banquet Saturday night at Liberal High School. The theme for this years event was “Come Fly Away With Me”and many Corporate Tables decorated and many attendees came dressed in accordance with the evenings theme.

A prime rib dinner, with meat donated by National Beef Packing Company was served. The Chamber also recognized several businesses and individuals throughout the evening. In the Table Decorating contest,Third Place went to Byron Bird and Associates, Equity Bank was in second, and the 1st place winner was Golden Plains Credit Union. In the category Peoples Choice Category Sunflower Bank was declared the winner. Liberal Memorial Library won the Best Use Of a Prop Award.

Brad Carr won the Best Dressed Male while Celeste Donovan was the Best Dressed Female. Joe and Elizabeth Denoyer were the Best Dressed Couple on the evening. Dana Hibbs received her Past President’s plaque and scrapbook. The annual “Friend of the Chamber Award was presented to Southwest Medical Center. Kevin Alexander won the Ambassador of the Year Award. Gary Dunham the Chambers Merit Award winner.

Reita Issacs and Pat Parker both won a pair of Round trip tickets to Denver courtesy of United Airlines.

Following the banquet portion of the evening, the audience moved to the Jim Maskus Auditorium where they were entertained first by the Chamber of Commerce ” Laugh In” skit followed by Comedian Sam Adams.
