City of Liberal to Access Water Meters

During the next month City Staff will be accessing water meters north of 15th Street to Tucker Road, west of Kansas Avenue. Staff will be accessing meters for GPS information. There will be no shut-off of the meter, only inspections. Staff may need access to the front or back yards to inspect the meters. Staff will not go door-to-door to contact residents. Access to the meter will be brief.

According to CHAPTER 15-123 of the Liberal City Code:

RIGHT OF ACCESS. Authorized employees of the city
may enter upon any premises at reasonable hours for the
purpose of reading the meter or servicing or
inspecting meters or water lines.
