City Commission To Meet Tonight

The Liberal City Commission will meet tonight at 6:30pm in the city commission chambers for their regularly scheduled meeting. Among the items on the agenda, the commissioners will be awarding a Heroism Award to Kevin Archer and Taylor Seigrist for their act of bravery in saving a young girl who had fallen into Wind Ridge Pointe Lake. Commissioners will also look at renewing the city’s insurance with Al Shank Insurance, will set a hearing date for the condemnation of 635 N. Pennsylvania, and will consider purchasing a greens mower for Willow Tree Golf Course. At tonights meeting, commissioners could also approve the final reading of Ordinance 4371, which would establish a system for issuing business licenses. These meetings are open to the public and are also aired on cable channel 15.
