City Commission Meets Approves CID For Hotel Project

The Liberal City Commission met Tuesday evening for their regularly scheduled meeting. The Commission, after a Public Hearing, approved a Community Improvement District for Liberal Hospitality LLC for a property adjacent to the Days Inn, to build another hotel. Commissioners also entered into a Development Agreement with the Company that spells out exactly how the CID will work.

The City Commission also approved submitting a request to KDOT for continued funding for CityBus operations, and approved the purchase of a new Sparky The Fire Dog costume for the Fire Department with donated funds from Milk Source/Heifer Source in the amount of $2,194.26.
